Yaesu FT-230R - Yaesu-Musen Co. Ltd. - Tokyo - Giappone - 1983. L'FT-230R è un ricetrasmettitore veicolare per radioamatori che opera in gamma VHF, con copertura in frequenza da 144 a 146 MHz (144 - 148 per il mercato USA), con modulazione FM e passi di sintonia di 12,5 o 25 kHz per il modello europeo (passi di 5 o 10 kHz per il modello USA). La radio ha la possibilità di agganciare i ponti radio VHF dei radioamatori con lo shift di ± 600 KHz tra ricezione e trasmissione. La potenza d'uscita audio è di 1 W su 8 Ohm mentre quella in antenna in trasmissione raggiunge i 25 W (3 W con il pulsante LOW premuto), e co impedenza d'antenna di 50 Ohm. L'impedenza del microfono dinamico tipo YM-47 in dotazione è di 500 - 600 Ohm. La frequenza viene indicata su un display LCD illuminato a 6 cifre con risoluzione di 0.1 kHz. La prima cifra è usata per indicare speciali funzioni (F = Funzione, M = Memoria, P = Priorità). La radio inoltre offre la possibilità di memorizzare 10 frequenze in altrettanti canali che vengono mantenuti attivi tramite un circuito alimentato da una batteria al litio. Lo strumentino S-meter analogico posto sulla destra permette di leggere il livello del segnale ricevuto e la potenza trasmessa. L'alimentazione è a 13,8 Vcc con negativo a massa e il consumo è di 300 mA in ricezione e di 5 W (max) in trasmissione. Le dimensioni sono: 15 x 5 x 17,5 cm, e il peso è di 1,3 Kg. Questo RTX ebbe una gran diffusione negli anni '80 contrariamente alla versione UHF (FT-730R) che non ebbe un gran successo. Personalmente ho acquistato un esemplare di FT-230Rusato e l'ho utilizzato parecchio in auto per molti anni prima di sostituirlo con un favoloso bi-banda FT-4700 RH sempre della Yaesu. © IK3HIA, 2004 - 2025

The FT-230R is a mobile transceiver for amateur radio that operates in the VHF band, covering a frequency range of 144 to 146 MHz (144 to 148 for the US market), with FM modulation and tuning steps of 12.5 or 25 kHz for the European model (5 or 10 kHz steps for the US model). The radio can engage amateur VHF radio links with a ±600 kHz shift between reception and transmission. Audio output power is 1 W into 8 ohms, while antenna power in transmission reaches 25 W (3 W with the LOW button pressed in EU model), and an antenna impedance of 50 ohms. The impedance of the supplied YM-47 dynamic microphone is 500–600 ohms. The frequency is displayed on a 6-digit illuminated LCD display with a resolution of 0.1 kHz. The first digit is used to indicate special functions (F = Function, M = Memory, P = Priority). The radio also offers the ability to store 10 frequencies in 10 channels, which are maintained by a lithium battery-powered circuit. The analog S-meter on the right allows to read the level of the received signal and the transmitted power. The power supply is 13.8 VDC with negative ground, and the power consumption is 300 mA in reception and 5 W (maximum) in transmission. Dimensions are: 5.91 x 1.97 x 6.85 inches, and the weight is 2.87 lb. This transceiver was widely used in the 1980s, unlike the UHF version (FT-730R), which was not as successful.
