Autovox mod. RA 68 Italy - 1955

Autovox car radio mod. RA 68 - Rome - Italy 1955. Superheterodyne receiver built by Autovox in the early 50s. It receives Medium Waves and Short Waves, the range change occurs by pulling the tuning knob. The radio uses four miniature series valves: 6BE6 as an RF amplifier and converter, 6BA6 in the Intermediate Frequency stage, 6AV6 as an Audio Frequency preamplifier, the 6AQ5 as an Audio Power Amplifier. The power supply is 12 V with negative ground (or 6 V by moving three jumpers), the anode High Voltage is achieved by an external unit that contains a vibrator and a transformer. The cabinet is made of sheet metal with an aluminum front like the volume and tuning knobs. The radio requires an external magnetic speaker with an impedance of 3.5 Ohm. © IK3HIA - 2004

Riceve le Onde Medie e le Onde Corte, il cambio della gamma avviene tirando la manopola della sintonia. La radio utilizza quattro valvole serie miniatura: 6BE6 come amplificatrice RF e convertitrice, 6BA6 nello stadio di Frequenza Intermedia, 6AV6 come preamplificatrice ad Audio Frequenza, la 6AQ5 come Amplificatrice di Potenza Audio. L'alimentazione è a 12 V con negativo a massa (oppure a 6 V spostando tre ponticelli), l'Alta Tensione anodica è realizzata tramite un'unita' esterna che contiene un vibratore e un trasformatore.
