Minerva mod. 455/1 - Minerva Radio S.A. Milano, Italia - 1945. Ricevitore supereterodina con ricezione delle Onde Medie (da 195 a 580 metri) e delle Onde Corte (da 17 a 52 m), La Frequenza Intermedia è a 470 KHz e impiega cinque valvole: una ECH4 come convertitrice, una EBF2 in Frequenza Intermedia, la EF6 come preamplificatrice di bassa frequenza, la EL2 come finale audio e la 6X5 come raddrizzatrice. La Seconda Guerra Mondiale è appena terminata e c'è penuria di materiali per realizzare i prodotti. La Minerva per la produzione utilizza quello che trova: le valvole europee Philips dell'anteguerra con gli zoccoli a contatti laterali e la raddrizzatrice Octal USA, lo chassis è in lamiera di ferro ma l'altoparlante magnetodinamico ha il cestello fatto di cartone pressato. Il mobiletto della 455/1 è in legno con manopole laterali in bachelite, a sinistra il volume con l'interruttore e a destra la sintonia e il cambio gamma. L'alimentazione è in corrente alternata con autotrasformatore munito di cambitensione (110, 125, 145, 160 e 220 Vac) perciò un capo della rete è collegato al telaio. Superheterodyne receiver with reception of Medium Waves (from 195 to 580 meters) and Short Waves (from 17 to 52 m), the Intermediate Frequency is at 470 KHz and uses five valves: an ECH4 as a converter, an EBF2 in Intermediate Frequency, the EF6 as a low frequency preamplifier, the EL2 as an audio final amplifier and the 6X5 as a rectifier. The Second World War has just ended and there is a shortage of materials to make the products. Minerva uses what it finds for the production: the pre-war European Philips valves with lateral contact sockets and the Octal USA rectifier, the chassis is made of sheet iron but the magnetodynamic speaker has a basket made of pressed cardboard. The cabinet of the 455/1 is made of wood with side knobs in bakelite, on the left the volume with the switch and on the right the tuning and the range change. The power supply is in alternating current with an autotransformer equipped with voltage changes (110, 125, 145, 160 and 220 Vac) therefore one end of the network is connected to the chassis.
