SELONIX mod. City - Italy  1964

English Italiano
Selonix mod. City (GBC Milano, Italy) - 1964.

The Selonix City was a Medium Wave portable radio with a superheterodyne circuit that used 6 ATES (Aziende Tecniche Elettroniche del Sud S.p.A. - Aquila, Italy) germanium transistors: AF170, AF172, AF172, AC135, AC135, AC135. The antenna was a coil wound on a ferrite core, the cabinet was made of plastic embellished with an aluminum front. Power was supplied by two 3 V 2R10 batteries placed in series for a total of 6 Vdc.

The City was not a great radio but personally I will always remember it with fondness and nostalgia because every night in the early 60s it allowed me to easily listen to the latest beat hits broadcast at 1440 KHz by the Radio Luxembourg station.

Selonix mod. City (GBC Milano, Italia) - 1964.

- Aquila, Italia): AF170, AF172, AF172, AC135, AC135, AC135.
