RCA mod. 8BX6 - Globetrotter - Chassis RC1040D - RCA Victor Co. Inc. - New York (NY) U.S.A. - 1948. Ricevitore supereterodina portatile con ricezione delle Onde Medie (540 - 1600 kHz). Il circuito utilizza 6 valvole miniatura a 7 piedini: 1T4, 1R5, 1T4, 1U5, 3V4 e una radddrizzatrice a semionda 117Z3. La radio è dotata di un'antenna interna a telaio avvolta all'interno della fiancata destra di plastica del mobile.  Lo stadio di Media Frequenza risuona a 455 kHz. Il mobiletto è realizzato in alluminio con pannelli laterali in plastica ed è dotato di maniglia per il trasporto. L'interruttore di accensione è incorporato nello sportello a scorrimento che copre la scala di sintonia. L'altoparlante è del tipo magnetodinamico con impedenza di 3 Ohm e diametro di 10.2 cm. La radio può essere alimentata con una batteria tipo RCA VS019 (90V e 9V) oppure con la rete elettrica a 115 Vac. Le dimensioni sono: 34 x 24 x 14 cm. IK3HIA © 2003 - 2025.

The circuit uses 6 miniature 7-pin valves: 1T4, 1R5, 1T4, 1U5, 3V4 and a half-wave rectifier 117Z3. The radio is equipped with an internal loop antenna wrapped inside the right plastic side of the cabinet. The IF stage resonates at 455 kHz. The cabinet is made of aluminum with plastic side panels and is equipped with a carrying handle. The power switch is incorporated in the sliding door that covers the tuning dial. The speaker is a magnetodynamic type with an impedance of 3 Ohm and a diameter of 4 inch. The radio can be powered by a battery type RCA VS019 (90V and 9V) or by the 115 Vac mains.
