Yaesu FT-77 - Yaesu-Musen Co. Ltd. - Tokyo, Giappone - 1983. Lo Yaesu FT-77 è un apparato per uso fisso o mobile che riceve e trasmette nelle modalità CW, SSB o FM (opzionale) sulle gamme di frequenza amatoriali. I'FT-77 è stato immesso nel mercato poco dopo l'FT-707 ma rispetto al 707 torna ad avere il ricevitore supereterodina a singola conversione invece che tripla, ma diventa doppia se viene installata l'opzione FM. La sintonia dell'FT-77 è digitale con display a sei cifre e l'operatività avviene su 11 segmenti di 500 kHz delle HF sulle gamme dedicato ai radioamatori (da 80 a 10 metri), segmenti che vengono selezionati con un commutatore posto a destra del pannello frontale. La Frequenza Intermedia è a 8.9875 MHz, ma se viene installata la scheda FM c'è una seconda FI a 455 kHz. La sensibilità in ricezione è di 0,3 µV in SSB/CW (0,15 µV se viene installato il filtro opzionale x CW) e se viene installata la scheda FM la sensibilità in questa modalità è di 0,7 µV. La selettività è di 2,4 KHz in SSB, di 600 Hz (CW-N) se è installato il filtro opzionale e di 12 kHz in FM se è installata la scheda opzionale. Oltre alla scheda FM, come opzioni erano disponibili anche il filtro CW tipo XF.8.9 KC e la scheda Marker che viene attivata dal pulsante Mark situato sul pannello frontale e genera un segnale non modulato ogni 25 kHz su tutte le gamme coperte dall'apparato. In trasmissione l'FT-77 non ha molto da invidiare al 707, gli amplificatori di di potenza a RF sono molto simili, utilizzano due transistor 2SC2395 che pilotano una coppia di transistor 2SC2290, la potenza in antenna è di 100 W p.e.p. in modalità CW e SSB (un po' meno sui 10 metri x l'FT-77) e di 50 W in FM (opzionale). L'impedenza del microfono è di 500 / 600 Ohm. L'alimentazione richiede una tensione continua di 13,8 Vcc e una corrente di 20 A in trasmissione a piena potenza, valori che possono essere forniti dall'alimentatore Yaesu FP-700, da un altro in grado di erogare 20 A o dalla batteria dell'auto. In ricezione il consumo è di 1 A, l'uscita audio è di 3 Watt e l'altoparlante ha un'impedenza di 4 Ohm. Le dimensioni dell'FT-707 sono: 24 x 9,5 x 30 cm e il peso è di 6 Kg. l'FT-77 è stato il mio primo transceiver moderno che ho acquistato usato nella seconda metà degli anni '80, con esso e con una vecchia antenna verticale Hi-Gain 14 AVQ ho effettuato moltissimi collegamenti DX. © IK3HIA, 2004 - 2025

Yaesu FT-77 - Yaesu-Musen Co. Ltd. - Tokyo, Japan - 1983. The Yaesu FT-77 is a fixed or mobile radio that receives and transmits in CW, SSB, or FM (optional) modes on the amateur frequency bands. The FT-77 was released shortly after the FT-707, but unlike the 707, it features a single-conversion superheterodyne receiver instead of a triple-conversion one, which becomes double-conversion with the FM option installed. The FT-77 features digital tuning with a six-digit display, and operation is performed on 11 500 kHz segments of the HF bands dedicated to amateur radio (80 to 10 meters). These segments are selected with a switch on the right side of the front panel. The Intermediate Frequency is 8.9875 MHz, but if the FM card is installed, a second IF is available at 455 kHz. Receive sensitivity is 0.3 µV in SSB/CW (0.15 µV with the optional CW filter installed), and if the FM card is installed, sensitivity in this mode is 0.7 µV. Selectivity is 2.4 kHz in SSB, 600 Hz (CW-N) with the optional filter installed, and 12 kHz in FM with the optional card installed. In addition to the FM card, the CW filter type XF.8.9 KC and the Marker card were also available as options. This is activated by the Mark button located on the front panel and generates an unmodulated signal every 25 kHz on all ranges covered by the device. In transmission, the FT-77 is not much inferior to the 707. The RF power amplifiers are very similar, using two 2SC2395 transistors driving a pair of 2SC2290 transistors. Antenna power is 100 W per unit area in CW and SSB modes (slightly less on 10 meters for the FT-77) and 50 W in FM (optional). The microphone impedance is 500/600 ohms. The power supply requires a DC voltage of 13.8 VDC and a current of 20 A in TX full power, values that can be supplied by the Yaesu FP-700 power supply, another power supply capable of supplying 20 A or by a car battery. The receive power consumption is 1 A, the audio output is 3 watts, and the speaker has an impedance of 4 ohms. The dimensions of the FT-707 are: 9.45 x 3.74 x 11.81 inches, and it weighs 13.2 lb. The FT-77 was my first modern transceiver, which I purchased used in the late 1980s.
