Zenith Transoceanic mod. Royal 3000-1 - USA 1964. With this model
the portable receivers Transoceanic come with the range FM (88 - 108
MHz) inserted, naturally remains Long-waves (200 to 400 KHz like in the model
"1000-D"), Medium-wave (540 - 1600 kHz) and 7 range of Short waves (2 - 18,5 MHz), but in order to make space
to the Modulated Frequency is eliminated a range of Short Waves (20,7 - 22,5
MHz) that existed instead in the "1000".
This Radio was constructed and commercialized in USA from 1964 to 1971 when
came replaced from model 7000. Inside the case there is no more the detachable
Wavemagnet antenna, but remains that one on the top of the case,
arranged under the handle that contains always the rod antenna. The
circuit comprise 12 transistor (the
list is here),the intermediate frequencies are 10,7 MHz for the FM
and 455 KHz for AM. The radio
can be fed by batteries (9 x 1,5 V type D or LR20) or with an external source of voltage
(12 V d.c.) through appropriate jack place on the left side. On the frontal panel there are the usual
control knobs: tuning, on-off-volume and tone, switch for dial lamps and
another for the Automatic Frequency Control in FM. The case is always metallic with extended chromium plated parts, but the finishes is in feint black skin. Regarding the previous models the aspect is diversified also for the thickening of the
back cover, in order to contain the greater quantity of circuits due to the FM.
Always "special" the sound that come from the small 4" loudspeaker, with 500 mW
output power on 3,2 Ohm. The dimensions are 32 x 26 x 14 and the weight
is approximately 6,2 Kg with batteries. |

inserita la gamma FM (88 - 108 MHz), rimangono naturalmente le Onde
Lunghe (200 to
400 KHz come nel modello 1000-D),
le Onde Medie (540 -
1600 kHz) e 7 gamme di Onde Corte (2 - 18,5 MHz), ma per fare spazio
alla Frequenza Modulata viene eliminata una gamma di Onde Corte (20,7 -
22,5 MHz) che esisteva nel invece nel 1000.
Fu costruito e commercializzato in USA dal 1964 al 1971 quando venne
sostituito dal modello 7000. Al suo interno non c'e' piu' l'antenna
Wavemagnet staccabile ma rimane quella sulla parte superiore del mobile,
disposta sotto la maniglia che contiene sempre l'antenna a stilo. Il
circuito comprende 12 transistor (qui
c'e' la lista), la frequenza intermedia e' di 10,7 MHz per la FM e
di 455 KHz per l'AM. La
radio oltre che dalle batterie (9 x 1,5 V tipo D o LR20) puo' essere
alimentata da una sorgente esterna di tensione continua a 12 Vcc,
tramite apposito jack posto sul lato sinistro. Sul pannello frontale ci
sono le solite manopole di controllo sintonia, on-off-volume
e tono, lo switch per la luce della scala e l'interruttore che seleziona
il Controllo Automatico di Frequenza in FM. Il mobile e' sempre
metallico con estese parti cromate ma le finiture sono in finta pelle
nera. Rispetto ai modelli precedenti l'aspetto si diversifica anche per
l'ispessimento del coperchio posteriore, per contenere la maggiore
quantita' di circuiti dovuta alla FM. Sempre "speciale" il
suono che esce dal piccolo altoparlante da 10 cm, con una potenza di 500
mW su 3,2 Ohm. Le dimensioni sono 32 x 26 x 14 e il peso e' circa di 6,2
Kg con le batterie.
